Dr. Stephen McElfresh is a founder of IGP. Prior to IGP, he was CEO/President for six years in two consulting organizations, focusing on organizational growth and productivity limited by existing organizational design, relationships and/or management capabilities. For fifteen years, he was the senior HR officer in public, private and non-profit organizations. His work is now focused on leveraging human capital productivity in client organizations.
As President and CEO of Saratoga Institute, international thought-leader in measuring financial impact of human capital, he led the development of unique benchmarking data, in analyzing the human capital performance on productivity, retention, motivation and strategy.
Stephen has operating experience in high tech and manufacturing, including SRI International, Exponent Inc., and Neopost. He was responsible for strategy planning, performance measurement, renovating moribund business cultures, recruiting and developing effective executive teams, planning spin-outs, M&A due diligence, and bringing best practices to management systems.
He is active participant on industry and community boards, and has presented at prestigious forums such as the Forbes CEO Forum and Interim CEO Forum
Stephen earned his PhD in Social/Organizational Psychology at Boston College and a JD at Santa Clara University, and is certified by the Society for HR Management as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.
